Three years ago, I stood on the edge of a decision that would shape everything that came after.

I remember staring at my plans, my calendar, my bank account and wondering if I was crazy to even consider starting my own business.

There was excitement, sure. But also fear. A lot of fear.

What if I fail?
What if people don’t buy what I’m offering?
What if this dream turns out to be nothing more than a risk I couldn’t recover from?

I had a good job. A steady income. A predictable routine. But something was moving me beyond this security.

So I said yes to the unknown.

I stepped out; not with absolute certainty, but with clarity of purpose, grounded values, and a few written goals that reminded me who I was becoming.

I didn’t launch a business with everything figured out.

I launched with conviction and let commitment and momentum carry the rest.

Now, three years on, I’ve learned that building something meaningful is less about having the perfect plan.

It’s more about staying aligned with your goals, values, and purpose; especially when doubt knocks at your door.

The Doubts Were Real, But So Was the Purpose

Like many who take the leap into business, I faced a mix of uncertainty, imposter syndrome, and responsibility.

But I also had something else:

·       Clear goals

·       Defined values

·       A clarity of purpose

I didn’t have all the answers, but I had enough to take the first step. Once I took that step, I focused on doing the next right thing.

Some things worked. Some didn’t. I adapted. I refined. I learned.

The truth is that business isn’t a straight line, it’s a journey of alignment, adjustment, and endurance.

Every time I felt off course, I came back to these anchors:

·       My goals – What was I trying to build, and why?

·       My priorities – Was I spending time on what truly mattered?

·       My values – Was I leading in a way that reflected who I am?

·       My purpose – Was I looking through this as a decision maker?

3 Years Later.

Now, three years in, I can look back and say:

I stayed committed. I grew. And I’m still growing.

Some milestones came slower than expected.

Some arrived faster than I was ready for. But every one of them was earned through focus, perseverance, and purpose.

I’ve come to believe that goals aren’t just about achievement. They’re about becoming the kind of person who finishes what they start.

A Word of Encouragement:

If you're in the messy middle of pursuing something that matters to you, keep going.

If your life experiences mean something, others will learn from you.

Doubt is normal. Disruption is part of the process.

What matters is what you do with it.

Trust your values. Stay close to your goals. Let your purpose lead.
